Self-storage is an excellent option for storing overflow of many different types of materials from your home or business. A storage unit might serve as a second garage or office supply room.

All storage facilities have restrictions on what they will allow you to store on their premises. You will be required to sign a lease indicating that you understand and agree to adhere to the rules and restrictions for what items are allowable.

Bring a list of items you plan to store to review with the storage facility manager to make sure you’ll be in full compliance with our rules. Full disclosure of what you will be storing is required. Having your list approved ahead of time will prevent any inconvenience upon arriving at our facility.

Dangerous items or materials will not be allowed. Here are some items you may have questions about storing:

Flammable, Hazardous, or Toxic Materials

None of these items will be allowed: Gasoline, compressed gas, propane tanks, kerosene, lamp and motor oil, acid, grease, corrosives, fertilizer, chemicals, narcotics, or hazardous, toxic or biological waste, asbestos or products containing asbestos, fireworks, explosives, weapons, or ammunition.

Construction Equipment

Some equipment (i.e., equipment used to locate underground water) is prohibited. Check with our staff for a list of approved construction equipment.

Medical/Pharmaceutical Supplies & Equipment

While most supplies are acceptable, radioactive equipment or anything containing radioactive materials cannot legally be stored.

Foods

Canned foods can be stored in our facility, but perishable foods like cereals, produce, or meats cannot be.

Miscellaneous Prohibited Items

Animals, plants, or stolen items cannot be stored. People are not allowed to plug in or use refrigerators, freezers, generators, space heaters, and cannot live in their storage units.
